Arthur was employed many years as a mill worker at Weyerhaeuser Company in Yellow Bluff, Alabama. His family described him as an outdoorsman, who loved hunting.

The family arranged a service in celebration of his memory at G. W. Watts located in Pine Apple, Alabama. The date of the service is Friday, January 12, 2018. The time is 12:00 noon. The interment will take place at New Virgin Church Cemetery of Pine Apple, Alabama.
